Sex scenes in films are normally romantic, sensual and steamy. Sometimes they are a little awkward, sometimes funny or amusing, and quite often a tiny bit disturbing. And then there are the scenes which are just downright disgusting.

In honour of Universal Pictures' The Change-up, that is from Blu-ray and DVD from 23rd January, these filthy sex scenes are what exactly we're celebrating. From the film, Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) features a weekly rendezvous with Tatiana (Mircea Monroe), a 9-months expectant mother he apparently met at childbirth class. While she's lovely, the scene is anything but as she charges in to the flat demanding wild animal sex.

Feeling quite sorry for Dave (Jason Bateman), who's kept in Mitch's body before the encounter, we chose to trawl through the past twenty years and relive other films that made us wince, cringe, and canopy our eyes.

10. Harold & Kumar Head to White Castle, 2004

Kumar (Kal Penn) shows the entire world just how intense an appreciation affair with drugs can be as he moans in pleasure during intercourse with a giant bag of weed. While seemingly every stoner's dream come true, it's questionable how this asexual bag of marijuana can achieve much without actual limbs.

Jim's American Pie crush Shannon Elizabeth was previously crushed with a killer snowman within this cult classic, noticably due to the hilariously poor acting. While intended to be a difficult rape scene, the result is a sordid sexual encounter from a snowman and a teen girl. In addition to the undeniable fact that Frosty appears like an enormous marshmallow, the grossest part might be that he's poking her together with his carrot nose.

7. Best of luck Chuck, 2007

Having women literally arranging to fall asleep with you probably appears like heaven to many men. Chuck (Dane Cook) learns it may be the contrary if you are performing it using the form of freaks that are far more concerned on praying to God the Saviour than pleasing you, or have a tattoo that reads George W. above her, um, bush.
